4K. Tying Tutorial and Materials List. A nymph that catches fish all over the world! The famous Hare's Hair Nymph 😉💯🎣. Follow me and you'll see a classic tying of this popular nymph, an imitation I'll be tying today... This is a "surface" version, as it's only weighted with a thin lead wire, giving it very little weight, just enough for it to sink easily... Refreshing my memory, I recall that this beautiful imitation was one of my first tying patterns... what memories... Back then, brass beads hadn't yet appeared; they were still a few years away... These nymphs were fished using the traditional method, with "heavy line," what we call "fly fishing"... there were still many years to go before nymphs with tungsten beads and "line fishing." My first time using this peculiar nymph was on the Xuvia River in the parish of Narón (A Coruña). In the Xuvia sea trout fishing area, which was teeming with fish at the time, the larger ones were reluctant to take dry flies. That's when I decided to try this "Hare's Ear" nymph, presenting it "sight-fishing" very close to the surface. Hooking and losing were one and the same... the fish took the imitation just like a baby takes its mother's nipple, almost like a "sucking"... the experience was unbeatable... such great memories... I hope you enjoyed this fly and my story about such a popular fly as the "Hare's Ear Nymph," and I hope to see you soon on my channel. #flytying #flytying #flytying #flytying #perdigonflypattern #salmonflies #flies #flyfishing #mayfly #nymphfishing #flyfishing #sorts #euronymphing #rainbowtroutfishing #pechealamouche #adventure #amazing #browntroutonthefly #caddisfly #tenkara #midge #dryflyfishing #tenkaraflyfishing
