South Sudan proved to be my most challenging filming expedition yet. Each time I raised my camera or phone to capture moments, tensions flared – anger, shouts, and hostility followed. Undeterred, I set out on a second attempt to venture beyond the city limits of Juba today. This time, armed with government paperwork, approval letter, a bit of bribe money (which was needed), and the invaluable company of a Mundari Tribe member riding in our back seat, the dynamics shifted.
