How is a motorhome made? LMC opened its production halls in Sassenberg to us, offering fascinating insights into the manufacturing of semi-integrated motorhomes and how the individual components are produced on-site. We saw how the floor, walls, and ceiling are constructed and which materials are used. We also got to see the origin of LMC's caravan manufacturing, the Austermann Knospe from the 1950s, in the canteen – a charming model that I think has a real chance of success in today's market. 😎 What surprised you the most? Let us know in the comments! 😎 Modern processes ensure consistently high quality and also detect any errors in the manufacturing process – and employee health and safety is a top priority. The icing on the cake is the recycling of the resulting offcuts, which can be reused in a closed-loop system or used for energy recovery. At the LMC production facility, we see the Tracer, Cruiser, and Tourer models (also available as alcove versions) in their semi-integrated motorhome line. Also manufactured in Sassenberg, and partially featured in the video, are the Innovan campervans on Citroën, Fiat, and Ford chassis, and the e:dero, Sassino, Style, and Videro caravans.
