A few steps from Chorio (in the heart of Kimolos), Rema Beach reveals itself as a true hidden gem: a patch of pebbles and shaped rocks, lapped by crystalline turquoise waters, in a setting so evocative it resembles a natural pool. Sheltered from the wind and quiet, Rema offers a relaxing and immersive experience in nature: the sea is transparent, the landscape enchanting, and you feel as if time has stood still. One of the most iconic symbols of the area is the elephant-shaped rock, gracefully sculpted by the wind and waves – a unique detail that gives the beach a magical character and has earned it the nickname "Elephant Beach." Behind the scenes of this dreamy landscape lies a vibrant coastal tradition: near the beach, the characteristic syrmata, caves carved into the rock where fishermen once (and often still today) spent the winter, storing their boats. How to get there? Access: You can reach Rema with a 10–15 minute walk from Chorio, or drive to the main road and walk the last 150–200 meters along steps or paths. The beach is completely free and unequipped: no umbrellas, sun loungers, or bars. Bring water, snacks, a beach towel, and, if you want, something to protect you from the sun. Why stop at Rema Beach?
