Kars'ın gülen adamı: Babam öldüğünde bile güldüm
Kasım Can (48), who runs a grocery store in the village of Arpalı in the Digor district of Kars and also works as a farmer, sends those around him into fits of laughter with his eccentric laugh. Can, who stated that he was a natural laugher but doesn't remember ever crying, said, "I laughed even when my father died. My sister warned me, 'At least don't laugh on a day like this.' If I didn't, I'd explode." Kasım Can, who lives in the village of Arpalı, a village with 112 households and a population of 930, 30 kilometers from the Digor district, is known as the "Laughing Man" in his circle for his laughter. Married with six children, Kasım Can quickly attracts everyone's attention with his genuine and sincere laughter. Can said that his biggest challenge is at funerals and funerals. Kasım Can, noting that everyone avoided him when he went to the condolence house, said, "Even when my father died, I was laughing out loud. My sister said, 'At least don't laugh on a day like this.' I said, 'I'd burst out laughing if I didn't.' Even when I go to offer my condolences, I can't help but laugh. The people next to me can't help but laugh. No one stays there when I leave, so as not to offend the deceased." A PATIENT IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM FORGOT HIS PAIN AND STARTED LAUGHING WITH ME Kasım Can stated that he has experienced many interesting experiences due to his uncontrollable laughter. "One day, I took a patient to the hospital emergency room. Those in pain in bed forgot their pain when I laughed and started laughing with the hospital staff. There's also a cancer patient in our village. Because I've been so good to him, he often comes together and chats with them, forgetting his pain for a bit. I don't remember ever crying. May God protect everyone from laughter." "I WAS BOTH LAUGHING AND BEING BEATEN DURING MY MILITARY SERVICE" Kasim Can, who stated that he couldn't stop laughing even when he received a traffic ticket or faced legal action, and that he was beaten many times for laughing even in the military, shared some interesting memories: "One day, the police gave him a traffic ticket. When he started laughing, the police were surprised. I immediately explained the situation. One day, my friend and I went to the Chamber of Agriculture in the Digor district of Kars. He had received a ticket. I laughed again when I saw it. My friend was very upset, so I explained the situation to him. While I was in the military, a relative sent me a letter. The letter said, 'Look, don't laugh so much, you'll get beaten.' I couldn't stop laughing again, and I got beaten. I was laughing and saying, 'I'm being beaten.' My life is so colorful. I want everyone to laugh. He explained that his friends, who were feeling down, would call him on his cell phone and ask him to laugh. He said, "I even cheer them up on the phone. People call even in the middle of the night, and I start laughing." Even my wife wakes up. But what can she do? She's gotten used to it. We're so happy. We don't even realize how fast time flies when we're laughing." Kasim Can, who explained that his mother died when he was very young and his father died 13 years ago, said that his seven siblings, his wife, and his children love to laugh with him. Can said he laughs even more when he sees people laughing and that he wants this laughter to spread to everyone, especially these days when we need it so much. WIFE: NO ROOM FOR SORROW IN OUR HOUSE Yuksel Can, who said they've gotten used to his wife's laughter and now join her with their children when she laughs, said, "I wasn't someone who loved to laugh much. Thanks to Kasım, it rubbed off on us. I've never seen him sad or cry. This positive outlook on life inevitably rubs off on us." "There's no room for sadness in our house," he said. Emphasizing that he has a wife who smiles day and night, Yüksel Can said: "WE'VE BEEN MARRIED FOR 20 YEARS, IT FEELS LIKE 20 DAYS" "My wife smiles day and night. Our neighbors love her so much. No one leaves without seeing my wife's smile. We've been married for 20 years, and I can't even begin to understand how time flies. It feels like 20 days. Before marrying me, my wife went to another village with her family to ask for a hand in marriage. My wife's family, the funny girl's family, refused to give their daughter to her. Then they came and asked for me. We're practically relatives. I'm so happy to be married to her. We have a wonderful marriage. We live our lives smiling like this. She's incredibly good to both the children and me. We're all happy. We've gotten used to her smile now."
