Singer Kiyoshi Hikawa held a release event for his new album, "New Enka Masterpiece Collection 7 - The Path of Battle" in front of the Shinbashi SL Square. The album includes his latest single, "The Path of Battle," as well as covers of Hibari Misora's hit "Makka na Taiyo." Hikawa passionately performed six songs, including his hit "Kiyoshi no Zundoko Bushi," in front of an audience of approximately 5,000 fans and office workers on their way home from work. At a press conference following the event, Hikawa spoke of Hideki Saijo, who recently passed away. "His innovative rhythmic music influenced me greatly. It's a shame," he said. "I'll never forget the words he said to me when we appeared on a music show together four years after our debuts."
