Extreme Sample Manipulation Reaktor Ensembles Dron-E and Grain Cube
For higher quality (free) videos please visit Sormena.org. This is an optional video where we look and listen to a couple of experimental Reaktor ensembles (Dron-E and Grain Cube). These ensembles take sample manipulation to another level and one simply cannot do them justice by describing them with text alone. These instruments truly need to be heard to be appreciated. While the interfaces are somewhat daunting this is one of the few cases where blind knob turning is enough to get amazing results. Dron-E relies a bit more on wave scan techniques while, as the name implies, the Grain Cube takes it’s inspiration from granular synthesis.
