Stepping into the Inner Sanctum: Qatar Airways Operations Centre

Have you ever felt like you've just walked onto a movie set? Well for me, this was it as I walked into Qatar Airways Operations Centre. This is the inner core, the beating heart at the very centre of Qatar Airways' entire global operations. I've always been fascinated by how things work and here I got to see just how the day-to-day operations for a major international airline work. Qatar Airways operates over 200,000 flights and carries over 30,000,000 passengers a year and they do it all from this one room! This highly secure, and until now, highly secretive facility lies within the grounds of Hamad International Airport in Doha. Getting access took months but I'm so grateful for the opportunity to see how a major international airline operates. My visit, and this video, demonstrated just how complex running a global airline is. And how many incredible people work behind the scenes to make the magic of aviation possible.
