Description: Syros is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. The capital of Syros is Ermoupolis, which the filmmaker and his friend tour. In the foreground view, we see the bust of Konstantinos Kanaris, the fire ship captain of the Greek Revolution of 1821, in the old port of Ermoupolis. Shots from the port, a panoramic view of the hill of Ano (upper) Syros, where at the top you can see the Catholic cathedral of Saint George, Metropolis of the Catholics of the island. The tour continues on the cobblestone paths and we are in front of the building that housed the old Transit Warehouses and the Customs. Today the neoclassical complex houses the Customs, the Port Authority and the Art Gallery. From an alley, we see a ship that is approaching the island. A traffic from boats of various kinds in front of the port and the missile boat "Mykonios" of the Greek Navy flanks the pier. In the port, we see houses, shops, rooms to let, cafes, taverns, hotels and definitely breweries-shops of traditional dessert for the island, loukoumia (a delight based on gel and sugar), a sign "Loukoumia Stamatelakis", an old building that strongly shows the element of neoclassical architecture of the island as well as other buildings that we see below, as the camera records them in the alleys. We see a neoclassical building that houses the Prefecture of Cyclades with two Ionic style columns at the entrance and other stone buildings. Shots from inside the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior and in the streets again where we admire the typical architecture of the island. Then we see the exterior of the Church of Saint Nikolaos and its two bell towers, one of which has a public clock and a marble lion in the courtyard of the church, in the district of Vaporia. Walking on the cobbled narrow streets, among mansions with marble facades with adorned ornaments, stone buildings spread amphitheatrically in the city, we have a panoramic view of the Holy Temple of the Resurrection at the top of Deli hill. Lastly, we see a panoramic shot of Ermoupolis port from above, as a ship passes in front of the island and the sun is setting.
