Laryngectomy - 10 year anniversary.
My name is Richard "Aryeh" Rifkin. In 2011 I had stage 3 cancer that progressed to stage 4 after 2 rounds of chemotherapy. The doctors at Stanford gave me 1 week to live. They said if I survived surgery I may never speak again, and if I spoke again I may never work again. Surgery was July 19, 2011. That was 10 years ago. Today is July 19, 2021. This is my story.
