On June 24, 1945, the legendary Victory Parade took place on Red Square. The entire world witnessed the march of the victors, hundreds of fallen German banners, and Soviet marshals. But among those who truly played a key role in the victory, many were no longer alive. Some were executed before the war, others were forgotten, and still others were used to the end and then erased from official history. In this film, we will detail the stories of five outstanding individuals whose lives became a reflection of the era: • Iona Yakir – a military theorist whose ideas later formed the basis of modern maneuver warfare; • Yakov Smushkevich – twice Hero of the Soviet Union, one of the founders of Soviet aviation; • Semyon Krivoshein – a legendary tank general whose achievements remained in the shadows for decades; • Yakov Kreizer – the first Jew to receive the title Hero of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War; • Boris Vannikov – the man who organized ammunition production and the Soviet atomic project; • David Dragunsky – twice Hero of the Soviet Union, who went from Berlin to the complex political compromises of the post-war era.
