Reading with Purpose: Nancy Pearl at TEDxSeattleU

Reading with Purpose: Why We Like the Books We Like Nancy Pearl, Author of "Book Lust", Library Journal's 2011 Librarian of the Year Nancy received her library degree in 1967 from the University of Michigan. She speaks about the pleasures of reading to libraries, literacy organizations, and community groups throughout the world and comments on books regularly on NPR's Morning Edition. TEDxSeattleU, A Life of Purpose Student Activities & Leadership Development -- In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
