Coolant Flush By Liqui Moly & G13 Antifreeze Coolant Refilling in Skoda Octavia.
Hi, I'm Shubhashish, I am from Darjeeling, Himalaya, India live in mountain at 7000ft altitude. Here my car Skoda Octavia Rider 2.0 and it's petrol engine coming hot because of wrong coolant apply in it at the time of last servicing. For Skoda, Audi and Volkswagen cars only G12 or latest G13 coolant is recommended by the company. but unfortunately because of unavailability of this particular coolant at the time of last servicing time wrong local green coloured coolant product used in it's radiator at one of the nearest Car Service Center and the centre which is minimum 200km far from my home. This is a Made in Germany car in the year 2005 and it's parts and other basic items sometimes unable to found in India and also few products rarely found in nearest Skoda servicing centre too and if unavailable and you are in hurry they use local products which are not going to solve your ultimate problems and your car will suffer. That's why I'm going to do some DIY projects to solve some problems of my beautiful Octavia car. For these projects only International and few national online sellers sell this car items but main Skoda Company linked international sellers unable to deliver this car parts and items in India. Because last time wrong coolant use I need to flush my car Radiator properly and that's why I purchase Liqui Moly Radiator Cleaner (Made in Germany) from https://www.amazon.in/ and for refiling original coolant after long time I luckily found G13 coolant in https://boodmo.com/ selling vehicle products only in India. I use 6 bottles × one litre of Distilled water which I found in nearest market which is 130 km far from my place. *For your kind information this is a Ready Mix G13 coolant and its normally no need to mix with distilled water but this is my experiment work because my car is already filled with very much wrong green coolant that's why I want to check if I mix Distilled Water with G13 Readymix coolant than it's works better than the local green colored coolant or less then that. I found it's works and its very much better than the local green colored coolant. My suggestion is always follow the way which company mentioned on the product but the way of changing coolant procedure is the same. Here it is: First, I pour entire 200ml Liqui Moly Radiator Cleaner in my car Coolant Reservoir and keep my car engine on position for half an hour and drive few minutes in the middle of this duration and flush the radiator previous coolant. And then after without closing radiator flushing knob I pour few mug of clean water which go through the radiator and come out from the radiator flushing pipe. After that I close the Radiator flushing knob below the radiator and feel the radiator by normal clean water up to the coolant reservoir level and after choosing it's lid tightly start car engine and keep it on position for 10 minutes and flush. I repeat this in same way but this time I keep the car engine start position for only 5 minutes and flush. Because still green colour liquid coming from the radiator flushing time, I now pour only distilled water in coolant container to feel the car radiator and keep the engine start position for another 5 minutes and flush. In this way I flush entire previous coolant from my car radiator. This model of Skoda Radiator have 4lt.(approx.) coolant capacity. To feel it I use 50:50 of G13 Antifreeze Coolant (2lt.) and Distilled Water(2lt.) mixture. Now my car engine heating problem is nearly solved and I do not need to go anywhere for my car treatment.
