Subscribe http://bit.ly/inaclashtv February 14, 1986 RENAUD presents his book of collected texts, "Mistral gagnant: chansons et dessins, préface by Sant Antonio." He recounts how he began writing songs. As a teenager, he read little but adored Prévert. His mentors were Brassens, Bruand, Bobby Lapointe... As for his vocabulary, between modern words drawn from street traditions and old words from the French tradition, the blend gives a rather unusual tone to his songs. BERNARD PIVOT emphasizes that he can be very sentimental, as in "En cloque." His drawings illustrate the book (DP of Renaud's drawings). Preface by San Antonio, who calls him his son, the most beautiful tribute he has ever received. Renaud has always been captivated by Frédéric Dard's intelligence and kindness. He states that this isn't his book; it's the publishers who wanted to publish his lyrics; it's not a personal approach. Bernard Pivot reads some juicy excerpts from the songs, while Renaud recounts the birth of certain songs, striving to remain a realistic singer.
