In their stories of cosmology, the gods are born out of a self-generated diety that existed prior to the act of creation. In this video, we review sources of Egyptian Cosmology and Egyptian Religion in general, and those Greek Historians and later philosophers who caught echoes of this original teaching. As well, we review the Nes-Amsu Papyrus and an important cosmological Hymn to Ptah. Coupled with a number of additional Egyptian hymns and Greek commentaries, this overview of Egyptian Cosmology will leave us wondering who borrowed from whom.
