The filling is naturally sweet from dried figs and flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, lime or lemon zest, and a little rum for extra aroma. ✨ FULL RECIPE ✨ DOUGH: • 2 eggs • 100 g sugar (½ cup) • 1 tsp vanilla sugar • ½ tsp salt • 140 g butter (10 tbsp / ⅔ cup) • 350 g flour (2¾ cups) • 1 tsp baking powder FILLING: • 270 g dried figs (9.5 oz) • Zest of 1 lime or lemon • 50 ml warm water (3 tbsp + 1 tsp) • 30 ml rum (2 tbsp) • ½ tsp cinnamon • ½ tsp grated nutmeg Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 20–25 minutes. Top and bottom heat, no convection.
