May 17, 2026 Sunday School Lesson Christian Manner of Justice Deuteronomy 24:14-21; Ephesians 6:5-9; 1 Timothy 6:17-19 In Simple Terms Deuteronomy 24: God's Old Testament Blueprint for Justice Moses lays out God's practical laws for treating people, especially the vulnerable: Pay workers their wages DAILY before sunset (verses 14-15) because they're poor and counting on it Don't exploit foreigners, orphans, or widows (verse 17)—defend them, don't deprive them Leave gleanings in your fields (verses 19-21)—don't harvest everything; intentionally leave leftovers for the poor Ephesians 6: Justice in the Workplace (Both Ways) Paul addresses workers AND bosses in the Roman world—where slavery was the norm: To workers/servants: "Obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ... Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people" (verses 5, 7). To masters/bosses: "Treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him" (verse 9). Translation: Workers, work with integrity. Bosses, lead with justice. Both of you answer to God, and He doesn't play favorites. 1 Timothy 6: Instructions for the Wealthy Paul tells Timothy how to address rich people in the church: "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth... Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age" (verses 17-19). Translation: If God's blessed you with wealth, don't be proud or trust in money. Use it to DO GOOD, be GENEROUS, and build eternal treasure. Bottom line? Christian justice isn't just about personal morality—it's about how you treat employees, how you work for employers, and how you steward wealth. God cares about economics, workplace relationships, and generosity. Justice isn't optional. It's commanded. For workers, bosses, and the wealthy alike. #kingdom agenda #sundayschoollesson #sundayschool #ronaldjasmin The Lord alone judges hearts. Our role is to serve faithfully and build each other up, rather than judging or boasting. How we live, lead, and relate to one another should reflect the values of Christ's Kingdom."
