The first major weekend opening of 2026 with 2 guest locomotives running along the newly opened extension to Aspall Halt. We were able to ride in the new 6-wheeler coach G.E.R. no.14 of 1889, which is the only surviving vehicle from the original fleet. LNER type 17 Wickham trolley was also running past the Middy Bar. Paul 'Piglet' Middleton was also visiting from the NYMR and he was kind enough to pose for a photograph with me.
