I AM FROM VENEZUELA. Track #3 from my album [THIRST, HUNGER & HARDSHIP] Released in September 2020. This visual material was taken from recordings made during the protests of approximately 2014-2018 in the streets of our country's capital (CARACAS). I accompanied each of my brothers and sisters during these days of uncertainty and risk, but I also want to make it clear that we have been a people subjugated, tortured, diminished, silenced, assaulted, underestimated, excluded, and attacked by a regime that today appears weaker and more divided than ever in all the years they have been dragging us into misery. I AM FROM VENEZUELA. It was written and recorded from a place of disappointment and deep reflection while I was in Colombia. And today, six years later, for me it's a symbol that no evil lasts forever. Respect and honor for so many lives lost, condolences to the families, and above all, empathetic emotional support.
