Davis Mountains Preserve - Texas

Spending two days at the Davis Mountains Preserve. The Davis Mountains are a temperate and forested ecosystem that rises more than 8,300 feet above sea level. Some amazing trees exist here, including pinyon pines, alligator junipers, emory oaks, southwestern white pines, gray oaks, and ponderosa pines. Ponderosa pine forests in the Davis Mountains have experienced major mortality caused by a combination of drought, southwestern pine beetles (Dendroctonus barberi), and wildfires. Restoration efforts are ongoing. Learn more about Operation Ponderosa here: https://tfsweb.tamu.edu/OperationPond... 🔔 SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/c/DemianGomez...
