Ohio State Leadership Studies and the Leadership Behavior Description Questionnaire

This video teaches you about the Ohio State Leadership Studies and what is unique with this leadership framework. You will also learn about the Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire (LBDQ) and how it has influenced leadership research for over fifty years. The Ohio State Leadership Studies framework is a behavioral approach to leadership and it includes two types of leadership behaviors: Initiating Structure behavior and Consideration Behavior. These two leadership behaviors are very different and both have their pros and cons. The Ohio State Leadership Studies also meant breaking away from the Trait Theory, which was very popular back in the 1940s when the Ohio Studies were performed.
