Derfor er Osebergsledene egentlig umulig å flytte
The relocation of the Oseberg collection has entered its most demanding phase. Watch as we carefully move the uniquely fragile Viking Age sleds from the old Viking Ship Museum to the new Museum of the Viking Age. The three magnificent sleds from the Oseberg burial are among the finest examples of woodcarving from the Viking Age – and they are the only sleds in the world preserved from this period. Due to their extreme fragility, they have dictated how construction could take place throughout the entire project. Now, the time has come to move them. First to go is "Gustafson's sled," being moved on March 24–25. Video production: Screen Story
