Georgetown Loop 40: The Silver Plume Limited 2025 (4K)

For the first time in 6 and a half years I finally was able to film a Narrow Gauge Railroad again. After flying into Denver on July 16th, and getting some supplies & lunch (Jack In the Box), I would make my way west to Historic Georgetown, located in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. The main reason for my trek was to finally film the Georgetown Loop Railroad. This Narrow Gauge Railroad operates between Georgetown & Silver plume. Both mining towns back in the day. The railroad loops around the Rocky Mountains various times, on its Journey from Georgetown to Silver Plume, but it goes from an Elevation of 8,520 & goes to 9,112. I would film the last three trains on July 16th, but on Friday July 18th, I would film all 3 trains. Filmed on two Sunny, hazy, and overcast days, I enjoyed my first visit to a Colorado Narrow Gauge Railroad. 40 put on a phenomenal show, climbing those grades over the Rockies, while passing by the station, Bridges & rivers on its way to Silver Plume. Georgetown Loop Railroad 40, a 2-8-0 Consolidation type Steam Locomotive, was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia in 1920. It was originally built for the International Railways of Central America, and worked there until it was retired, and then sold to the White Pass & Yukon Route in Alaska, until being sold again to the Georgetown Loop Railroad. The Original railroad was completed in 1884, and was considered an engineering marvel for the time, during the Colorado Gold Rush. The tourist Railroad would open in the 1970s and since then various engines have operated on the line. Time Codes Day 1 Day 2 While I was solo Wednesday, ‪@MiddleTennesseeRailProductions‬ flew in that night and would join me when I returned on Friday. I have been busy editing since coming home from my successful Colorado Trip. Next week's video will be the New York & Lake Erie Triple Header video from 4th of July Weekend. After that, I am hoping to get the remaining videos from Colorado including Railfanning the Union Pacific Transcontinental Route, Laramie Depot Museum & Union Pacific 4004.
