LITERALLY Flying Fish | Mackerel Islands

They were literally flying! 🎣🚀 In Part 3 of our Mackerel Islands adventure, we are launching out of Onslow and steaming out to hit the back of the islands for an epic session on the mackies. Joining the crew today, we've got Craig and Steve on board with me, while Don is running in his own boat. The action did not disappoint! We ended up landing a total of 8 mackerel between us, including an absolute lunatic of a fish that completely launched itself clear out of the water on the strike! It wasn't all smooth sailing, though. We ended up coming home just one fish short of our bag limit after Don’s engine started playing up, forcing us to call it a day a bit early and we look after our mates.
