Elevator and Aileron control (ELAC) on A32F

Today we will take look on computer which is responsible for transferring movement from sidestick to flight controls surface. We are talking about the ELAC (Elevator and Aileron Computer) which is in charge of the control of the elevators and ailerons and of the THS positioning. Each aircraft has two ELACs. Each computer has two units: The COM unit which mainly calculates the deflection orders as a function of the received signals and slaves the control surfaces. The MON unit which mainly checks that the orders are correctly executed ELAC is also important component for autopilot and also Autoland function, which means that w must test this function. The function of the test is to do a check of the capability of the applicable systems to do a CAT 3 DUAL operational-failure automatic-landing. It also does a check of the takeover and important pushbutton switches, the A/THR pushbutton switches and the warnings related to the automatic landing. The LAND TEST function is used in the Fault Isolation and Detection System (FIDS) and uses the Flight Guidance (FG) failure detection (snapshot, analysis and reporting). Thus, the LAND TEST function efficiency is the same as the FG Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) efficiency. ********video is just for information purposes always stick to the latest maintenance manual********* if you want support me click here:    / @zeto.r   My Flashlights Fenix LD45R: https://www.fenixlighting.com/product...
