Despite this, he continued to develop his unique style, incorporating elements of modernism and influences from composers like Debussy, Mozart, and Liszt. His most well-known works include "Boléro," "Pavane pour une Infante Défunte," and "Daphnis et Chloé," which exemplify his skill in orchestration and melody. In the 1920s, Ravel gained international recognition and became one of the most respected composers in France. However, his personal life was marked by difficulties; a car accident in 1932 resulted in health problems that affected his ability to compose.
