As hunger is satisfied, the hands begin to slowly loosen, resulting in a relaxed palm. Another sign of hunger is when the baby is asleep and begins to move, murmuring or pulling at their clothes. They also open their mouth and turn their head from side to side, seeking the breast. If they suddenly increase their physical activity and begin kicking out or putting their hand in their mouth, these can also be signs. 2) Signs of contentment: Baby's hand relaxes. When very young, babies fall back into a deep sleep.
