Began amateur boxing during his student years. Despite his gifted physique and natural talent, he was met with great expectations, but he repeatedly failed to achieve the results he desired, leading to setbacks. I interviewed trainer Tsuyoshi Watanabe, who trained Yoko Gushiken, and wrote my graduation thesis, "A Study on Teamwork in Boxing."
