DAG Nobel Krzystkowice (Fabryka amunicji) [URBEX]

The Alfred Nobel Dynamit Aktien-Gesellschaft Christianstadt am Bober (DAG Alfred Nobel Krzystkowice) complex (Alfred Nobel Dynamit Aktien-Gesellschaft Christianstadt am Bober) is the remains of a German ammunition factory in the forests near Nowogród Bobrzański. It covers approximately 35 km². The factory was likely founded in 1939 as a branch of the IG Farben corporation. The highly guarded plant grounds included apartment blocks and casinos, its own fire department, and a railway network with numerous loading ramps. A branch of the Gross Rosen concentration camp, whose prisoners comprised a large portion of the factory's workforce, also existed here. Some of the equipment was dismantled and evacuated shortly before the Soviet offensive, while the rest was dismantled and removed by the Russians after the war. Concrete structures, ruins of production halls, and enormous silos covered with several meters of soil, on which trees had already grown, remain to this day. Visible are the remains of infrastructure, including a network of roads and railway lines, as well as shelters (used in the event of air raids and explosions resulting from industrial accidents).
