After taking the annex right back to its bare bones, we're finally starting to rebuild… but before the beautiful finishes can begin, there's one very important job that simply can't be rushed. In this episode of My Tiny Estate, we're back working on the annex, tackling one of the least glamorous parts of any renovation—insulation. It might not be the most exciting stage, but it's one of the most important. By more than tripling the insulation in the roof, we're making this historic building warmer, more energy efficient and helping to future-proof it for many years to come. As we work our way through what feels like endless insulation boards, we also begin planning the layout of the upstairs bedroom, deciding where the bed, wardrobes and seating area will go, and making sure every detail works before the walls are finally closed up. It's one of those stages where progress doesn't always look dramatic… but every board we fit brings us one step closer to turning this part of the building into a comfortable family space. We also take a well-earned break to spend some time with little Teo before getting straight back to work.
