The root chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of your spine. It provides you with a base or foundation for life, and it helps you feel grounded and able to withstand challenges. Your root chakra is responsible for your sense of security and stability. Mental signs of root chakra imbalance include feelings of panic, anxiety and fear. People also commonly experience low self-esteem, panic attacks and eating disorders. If you feel an imbalance in any of these areas this is a great practice for you! Yin Yoga is a style of yoga in which we hold the poses for a few minutes at a time to really release any tension out of the muscles. It is very relaxing and will bring you into a meditative state.
