This time, we went on a motorcycle trip with my husband and wife. We went on a tour on two large Honda motorcycles, a Gold Wing and a Rebel 1100T, along National Route 252 in Fukushima Prefecture in Tohoku, in search of the spectacular scenery of the unexplored Oku-Aizu. We encountered the Tadami Line, a famous local line in the unexplored area, and were impressed by the fantastic Taishi village along the Tadami River in Kanayama Town, and the beautiful snow-capped view of the Echigo Sanzan mountains from Lake Tagokura in the unexplored Tadami. The beautiful scenery that can only be seen at this time of year is overwhelming. For lunch, we went to "Iwana no Sato" in the Echigo Sanzan Tadami Quasi-National Park. We enjoyed the delicious cuisine, including char and delicious soba noodles. And at the end of the trip, we went to Showa Village, the most beautiful village in Japan. We also enjoyed the delicious cuisine at the Showa retro Kumaru Elementary School and Farmers Cafe Oashiya. This is a recommended touring route in Oku-Aizu, so we hope it will be helpful. *The Rokujuri Yukiwari Highway on National Route 252 is closed to traffic as of June 2025 due to a bridge collapse, and it is not possible to pass through to the Niigata side.
