FX 606 Core Knife Fox Knives VOX BECUT Steel

Fox Knives, VOX CORE knife, the FX 606 made with German produced (BESTAR) BECUT Niobium enhanced steel. This is a 0.7% high carbon steel with 0.8% Niobium. Niobium carbides promote fine grain structure leading to excellent edge retention. BECUT also features 1.9% Mo for great corrosion resistance. BECUT has been around since 1992 in the food industry, where it is used in industrial cutting blades. Here we see it now utilized for outdoor knives. What to say? I found under real field conditions (away from industry) BECUT really holds an edge like the manufacturer says. No clean woods cut, no resharpening, no wiping the blade over 2 weeks (yuck!), plunging tip and twisting into dirty tree roots! No chipping!
