Watch the demo for the main project here:    • The Prettiest Episode Ever? | The Legend o...   Thoughts on the episode "The Legend of Darkness: Super Mario 40th Anniversary Level Mash-Up" is an episode that features various levels from throughout the entire Super Mario series. The main levels consist of World 1 from the original Super Mario Bros., but at various points, secrets hidden in the levels allow the player to access levels from other Mario games. I really enjoyed exploring these levels to find the hidden areas, and finding recognisable levels from throughout the franchise was awesome. The collectable stars additionally incentivised exploration, which was very fun. Visually, the episode looks stunning, the remake of World 1-4 from Super Mario Bros. was especially beautiful due to its use of lighting and particle effects. However, while beautiful, these effects are also occasionally very distracting from the gameplay, which is especially noticeable in the World 1-2 remake, where the darkness effect occasionally makes the gameplay hard to follow. Despite this, the 40th Anniversary Level Mash-Up makes for an enjoyable journey throughout Mario's history, though the bias toward the "classics" (that being Super Mario Bros. 1-3 as well as Super Mario World) is very noticeable.
