Los expertos forestales avisan tras la tragedia de Almería

Thirteen dead, thousands evacuated, and around 7,000 hectares ravaged. The devastating fire in Los Gallardos, Almería, has once again shown the most terrible face of fire and has opened a new fire season in Spain in the worst possible way. For four days, the flames advanced along a perimeter of about 40 kilometers, forcing the evacuation of around 1,600 people and mobilizing a huge firefighting operation, with personnel from the Infoca Plan, the Military Emergency Unit (UME), the Civil Guard, and up to 32 aircraft. Finally, on Sunday, July 12, the fire was declared stabilized.
