Guardian Angel Prayer (text) "In the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit amen." O most faithful companion and blessed spirit, chosen by the Heavenly Father to walk beside me through all the joys and trials of my earthly life, I thank you from the depths of my heart for your constant protection, gentle kindness, tender caring, and selfless love. I am forever grateful for the countless blessings and benefits you have obtained for me by your devoted intercession. O holy Angel, ever-vigilant guardian, watch over me while I sleep and when I wake. May your consoling presence bring me peace and dry my tears when I am sad or troubled. Avert all dangers that threaten my body and soul, and mercifully warn me of those yet to come, that I may be spared from harm. In your wisdom, turn me away from sin and the snares of temptation. Inspire me always to do what is good and pleasing to the Lord. When I stumble and fall, encourage me to do penance and humbly seek reconciliation with God, who is Goodness and Mercy itself. Never leave my side, O heavenly guide and most cherished friend. Comfort me in adversity, that I may bear my crosses with patience and trust. Humble me in success, lest I forget that all my blessings come from God. Defend me in danger and be my refuge in distress. Obtain for me the grace of final perseverance, that sustained by faith, hope and love, I may at last enter into everlasting life and, with you, behold the face of God.
