PCM / Crusader 409 6.0L Oil Change (2015 Axis T22) Tutorial

In the inboard world, the 409 engine is an incredibly common engine used by Nautique, Malibu, Axis, Centurion, Supreme, HeyDay and more. At its core, it's a 6.0L GM-based V8 and came as an option on my 2015 Axis T22. To keep this engine running in peak performance, you need to change the oil every 50 hours. Fortunately, changing the oil could not be easier thanks to the oil drain hose and easily accessible oil filter. I had some time during my last yearly service and recorded each step I took to change the oil on this engine. For reference, the correct filter for this engine is the PCM R077001. If you want to use something else, I recommend the Mobil 1 M1-301A oil filter. It's also available at your local automotive store. I also used Mobil 1 5W-30 as my oil. Considering the cost of these engines, I want the best and this oil is well priced and does a great job protecting my engine.
