Unfortunately, on the way home from the cinema, all that remained of feeling in Alexandre Callari and Daniel Lopes was a great nothingness. The Supergirl movie, which should have inspired good feelings of joy, excitement, and hope for the future of DC Comics in cinemas, only left a bitter taste in the mouth. Even more so after the Superman movie was so well executed by James Gunn last year. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case with Milly Alcock's return in the role of the superheroine. Not even Jason Momoa as Lobo left a good impression. And the question of whether a shared universe is really necessary for DC in its films and series returns. SYNOPSIS Supergirl (2026), directed by Craig Gillespie (Cruella) and written by Ana Nogueira (The Vampire Diaries), is based on the comic book Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (2021–2022), written by Tom King and illustrated by Brazilian artist Bilquis Evely. Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock) experienced and survived the collapse of Krypton, her home planet, at the age of 14, and now, at 21, she still suffers the consequences of that destruction. In this film, Kara encounters Ruthye Marie Knoll (Eve Ridley), an alien with a thirst for revenge and determined to take down the mercenary Krem (Matthias Schoenaerts), responsible for her father's death. Initially, Kara doesn't want to get involved, much less play the role of a villain, but Krem decides to attack someone close to the heroine, and the game changes completely. From then on, a cosmic hunt begins, taking her to different solar systems without the impact of the red sun and neutralizing the Kryptonian's powers while she deals with various dangers, including trying to escape the bounty hunter Lobo (Jason Momoa) alongside Krypto, the superdog.
