SANDITON - The story behind Jane Austen's last unfinished novel

See www.Sanditon.info for my PLAY (2014), and MUSICAL (2019) based on this research. * Filmed on location in Hampshire in 2014 this documentary is based on research into the paintings of Portsmouth artist R.H.C. Ubsdell (1812 - 1887) published in two books entitled 'Hampshire' available on Amazon. Ubsdell painted members of Jane Austen's family. These paintings included niece Anna Lefroy in 1845, when she had just inherited the unfinished manuscript from Cassandra Austen's Estate and had begun attempting her own completion, based on her knowledge of her aunt in the last few months of her life. The narrator is Amy Burrows, the music is by American composer Amanda Jacobs and is played by Vicky Clubb on the historic pianos in Chawton House Library and Chawton Cottage. Nigel Thomas joins Amy in the duet 'Blue Briny Sea' and Amy sings 'Father of Heaven' a prayer written by Jane Austen set to music by Amanda Jacobs whilst JASNA 2014 research fellow at Chawton House Library. Louis Byrne wrote the Sanditon theme. Many Thanks - Chris Brindle
