He earned his A.B. at Princeton University in 1987 and his PhD at Bar-Ilan University in 2002. He's also an Orthodox rabbi, and studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion for eight years and taught Bible at the Nishmat Midrasha for several years. He a frequent contributor to The Times of Israel and his articles on biblical theology and contemporary society have appeared in the pages of Mosaic Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.
