Santos Trailhead Campground Ocala Florida plus Trails See All Sites

Florida State Park Camping is our favorite, with its natural settings and activities - like hiking and biking trails. Santos has the best of all of that. Plus, the sites are very large with many having greenery privacy. See every site, the amenities and the trails - all in this video. (Filmed Nov. 2021) The best thing about this campground is that it is located beside the famous Santos Trailhead for mountain biking. These are some of the best mountain biking trails in Florida. There are tons of challenging technical trails and 60 miles of hard pack single track to speed through the trees. A common loop is Santos trailhead to the I-75 Landbridge and back loop which is about 23 miles. Check out the OMBA website below to download the trail maps before you head out. There are lots of trails so get acquainted with them before you ride. Bring a digital or printed map on the ride just in case you get lost. The Vortex section is for experienced rider who wants to Feel the thrill of hard core mountain biking. The campground is very small, only 25 sites so they can be hard to get. Reservations can be made 11 months in advance so if you want to camp here get your reservations early. The Florida Trail goes right through the Greenway and near the mountain biking trails, so if you are a hiker there are lots of trail for you, but please do not hike on the mountain biking trails.
