We Found Our Favorite Pasta Ever in Newburyport!

We had the best pasta dishes we’ve ever eaten… right here in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Tucked away on State Street, Carmine is a small, cozy Italian restaurant that absolutely delivers. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming—but it was the food that truly blew us away. The pasta? Fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced. Every bite tasted like it was made with care—and it was. Chef and owner Luca Onofri, a Peabody native, brings serious culinary roots to the table. Trained by his uncle Damien DiPaola of Boston’s North End favorite Carmelina’s, Luca has created something special here—scratch-made Italian dishes that feel both authentic and personal. Add in incredible service and a relaxed, intimate setting, and you’ve got a spot we’ll be coming back to again and again. If you’re anywhere near Newburyport… this one is worth it. 📍 Carmine – Newburyport, MA —————————— Chapters 00:00-Intro 00:22-Starting With Bread 02:46-A Look Around Carmine 03:05-Kelly’s Main Dish 03:31-Ross’s Main Dish 04:07-We Try Our Pasta 06:58-Something To Know Before You Go 08:34-Wrap Up ——————————
