How House of the Dragon Season 2 Damaged the Series

House of the Dragon Season 2 had all the pieces to be one of the strongest seasons in the Game of Thrones universe, but for me, it became one of the most frustrating. In this retrospective, I break down why Season 2 felt so disappointing, from the pacing and character choices to the way the show handled the war, Rhaenyra, Alicent, Daemon, Aegon, and the larger conflict at the heart of the Dance of the Dragons. I still think House of the Dragon can recover in Season 3, but Season 2 made that job much harder.
