The Tides are Turning--Barbault's Basket Everyone in the astrology world is buzzing about "Barbault's Basket…” the planetary configuration involving the “Big Three” outer planets plus Jupiter--active from July 15-24 with an exact activation tonight (July 19). In the words of the late French Mundane Astrologer Andre Barbault, this transit is "the most benefic configuration of the century and its interplanetary partnership will work for the best and a splendid re-launch of civilization." This transit is part of a three year undercurrent from 2025 to 2028 where slow moving Titans Pluto, Neptune and Uranus come in and out of a series of extremely rare and harmonic trines and sextiles. Consider Pluto's glacier speed with a long 248 year cycle, Neptune's 165 years, and Uranus taking 84 years to complete a journey through every sign. We have no record of any time in history when they were so precisely aligned in this configuration. Jupiter is the activator of the quickly forming and dissolving “basket” in its opposition to Pluto. With a rapid 12 year cycle, Jupiter spends less than ten days within a degree of opposition to Pluto before rapidly moving forward. Andrews Barbault, who died in 2019, was a mundane astrologer--tracking historical and global astrological cycles unfolding over centuries. He was known for his eerily accurate predictions involving the fall of the Berlin Wall and Covid 19 among others. It can be very difficult to see the “massive benefic" elements of this 3 year cycle and our momentary trigger point--but it's so vital to always remember we are living through a massive shifting from one Age, a 26,000 year or most likely much larger--cyclical descent and rebirth. We are shifting from an age of domination and separation into a time of unity, and a remembrance of our true nature as Gardeners of Earth--the ones who are here to Bless the Creation with our open hearts and our tending hands, together. I once had a dream, a triptych in three parts. In the first, I was nose to nose, with just a glass window, to a jaguar, in the jungle. In the next, I was in the plains, with a massive bison barreling toward me at thundering speed. The final scene was of a mother Orangatan who was trying to tend to her baby, who had fallen deeply ill. When I reentered the dream scenes I received many significant messages, but the most essential was this: All three creatures you encountered are rare and precious. All three are fighting to remain in your world. Yet the third is the one closest to the human and that is no accident. It is the human who is in greatest suffering and illness. This was an important message, as one of many over the course of my life where I've been shown the most essential step in humanity's evolution now is to remember that we are sacred beings. We are not fallen creatures. We are not broken. We have simply forgotten our true nature. As Diné activist and scholar Dr. Lyla June Johnson reminds us through her essential research into the benevolent impact of indigenous human communities across landscapes in North America, we were once--and could be again--a Keystone Species. Meaning--our impact on the lands and waters around us uplifted all of our more than human relatives. Because of our earth-tending--through fire, forest gardens and more, we created habitats that nourished greater biodiversity, clean waters, and nourishing rich soils. My feeling is that this benefic planetary alignment is a Turning of the Tides. The positive changes have already been underway but they have been difficult to see and hear beneath the rubble and the noise of collapsing empire. But make no mistake, they are Turning. Often things seem darker BECAUSE we are seeing what we were unwilling or unable to see before. The naked truth of the profit motive behind abhorrent wars and genocides. The extractive nature of our economies, the vast inequities between nations and peoples. The devastation of our biosphere and species. We are seeing these things now because it is time for more and more of us to actively play our part in shifting our human society at the deepest levels. To demand not just that our technologies rape and pillage less, but that they actually harmonize with and BENEFIT the lands, waters and skies surrounding. Can you imagine?
