This is Kim Sae-seom’s *Cancer and Book Odyssey*. I am a cancer patient suffering from glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, and at the same time, I am a solo entrepreneur who founded and operates the online book club platform, Gmeum (www.gmeum.com). Glioblastoma is described by the Seoul National University Cancer Research Institute as “a highly malignant disease with an average survival period of 12 to 14 months, even when all treatment methods are employed.” I underwent brain surgery in late April 2025, and while contemplating how to spend my remaining time meaningfully, I decided to start a podcast. I thought it would be good to record my illness, my work, and the meaning of my life in the form of interviews. My husband, Jang Maek-ju, took on the role of interviewer. I upload unedited content of interviews lasting about 10 minutes each, conducted while taking a walk in a park near my home every morning. The sounds of birds, footsteps, and the chatter of people exercising are included as well. Please listen as if you are walking through the park with me.
