Day 4 | Pastor Joe Ybarbo Goal: The goal of the 30-Day Growth Challenge is that we fall in love with Jesus and believe in His Word in a greater way than we ever have by developing a daily discipline of studying God’s Word. 8:22 Pastor Joe 14:15 Prayer How many love a challenge? How many want it easy? DAY 4: Currently in the book of John 1:14-18 14:37 John 1:1 (NLT) 1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 15:40 This truth precedes everything else. We cannot begin to instruct nor receive any additional truths until we believe this first and foremost truth. 16:34 The Word was with God The Word was God The Word is Jesus 17:09 JESUS IS GOD. 17:24 God is the only One who: Has the power to save, heal, deliver, resurrect the dead, conquer, liberate, forgive sins, give eternal life. 18:15 Jesus is not a religious figure. 18:42 JESUS IS GOD. And until you believe this first truth, you’ll be hard pressed to receive any additional truths, promises or blessings that Jesus can provide. 19:17 The Word was with God The Word was God 19:49 John 1:14 (NLT) 14 And the Word became human and made his home among us. JESUS [GOD] BECAME HUMAN. God came to live with us as a human. 20:33 He made His home among us. Jesus left His home and came into your home. He left His world and came into your world. 21:22 You don’t have to go looking for God. HE HAS COME LOOKING FOR YOU. 21:43 Why would God come looking for me? 22:10 Luke 4:18-19 (NLT) to bring Good News to heal the brokenhearted to liberate prisoners to give sight to the blind to free those who are oppressed to make known to the world that the time of His favor has come 23:08 Jesus not only came to save us, He came to: show us how to live godly in an ungodly world, demonstrate His power over sin, destroy the works of the devil, assert His authority over demonic powers, offer Himself as a ransom for many. 23:58 John 1:14 (NLT) 14 He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. 24:15 HE IS FULL OF UNFAILING LOVE. His love for you will never fail. There’s one thing that Jesus will never do for you – He will never stop loving you because He’s full of unfailing love. 15:05 HE IS FULL OF FAITHFULNESS. He is completely trustworthy. You can always count on Jesus. 25:37 2 Timothy 2:13 (NLT) If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 25:53 John 1:14 (NLT) 14 And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. 26:28 THE GLORY OF THE ONE AND ONLY SON. Jesus is one of a kind. 26:47 NO OTHER GLORY COMPARES TO THE GLORY OF JESUS. 28:20 His glory cannot be matched. His glory cannot be duplicated. 30:08 When John sees the glory of Jesus, he does two things: testifies and shouts. 32:34 “We have seen His glory.” 32:54 John 1:15 (NLT) 15 John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’” 33:57 THIS IS THE ONE. 35:14 John 1:16 (NLT) 16 From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. 37:47 John 1:17 (NLT) 17 For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. 38:11 The law of Moses represents the moral standards of God. There are over 600 laws. No human, apart from Jesus, has ever been able to obey the law. You and I have broken the law and deserve the sentencing of the law. But because of the unfailing love of God, JESUS PAID YOUR FINE. 46:58 John 1:18 (NLT) 18 No one has ever seen God. But the unique One [the one and only Son], who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. 47:30 ONLY JESUS HAS SEEN GOD BECAUSE HE HIMSELF IS GOD. 48:00 Jesus wants to reveal God to you.
