This song has been a favorite of mine since I first heard it on Dr. Demento back in the glorious '80s. It wasn't until MANY years later that I learned the history of the song and the lawsuit that sunk it. Google it. Anyway, when music videos became a "thing" and I got into Weird Al's performances, my thoughts went back to this song, and I thought it should have a music video. But I don't think the Radio Shack TRS-80 had software to handle that. Plus YouTube didn't exist and MTV wasn't taking my calls. Flash-forward to the COVID Apocalypse, where I start to play with YouTube video creation, and I decided to go back to this decade's old idea. Except some CLOWN beat me to it! (See link below) However, undeterred, I decided to create my fan video anyway. Besides, Piddles has over 750,000 followers while I trail just slightly behind with... 20. But who cares! I'm having fun and I get to share a phenomenal ditty that should be up there with Weird Al's "Money for Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies." I hope you enjoy the song as much as I have.
