Hazleton Pennsylvania Walking Tour (Highest Elevation City In PA)(History Of Anthracite Coal Mines)
Hey y’all today I will be doing a walking tour of Hazleton Pennsylvania. Hazleton is a city in Pennsylvania with a population of 24,000 people and is located in the Scranton Wilkes-Barre area Hazleton has the highest elevation of any city in Pennsylvania with an elevation of 1,686 ft above sea level. The towns crime rate is about average and has a very large Hispanic community however for many years the city had people against immigration. Hazleton was founded on The lumber industry however is anthracite coal was found in the area the city was dependent on coal mines. Today the city is still a pretty good place to live but struggles with drugs.
