Freediving with aliens in Sydney

Come winter diving with me in Sydney as we search for one of the coolest animals living along Australia’s coastline: the Australian giant cuttlefish (*Sepia apama*) 🦑✨ Every winter these colour-changing, alien-looking cephalopods become easier to spot along Sydney’s rocky reefs, and in this video I’m taking you along for a chilly underwater photography adventure with my friend Gillian Shark (another shark photographer + fellow ocean nerd!!). We’ll chat about why giant cuttlefish are so incredible, their crazy colour-changing abilities, winter breeding behaviour, and why some of the best wildlife encounters happen when you least expect them. Also testing out some cold-water dive gear along the way 👇 Underwater scooter: Sublue Tech Mix Underwater Scooter (Pink) Wetsuit: Fourth Element 5mm Xenos Arc Wetsuit (Women’s) Thanks for coming diving with me 💙 If you love sharks, ocean science, underwater photography, and learning about the weird + wonderful creatures living beneath the surface… consider subscribing and joining the adventure :) Follow along: Instagram: @aliah.in.waterland Website: www.aliahbanchik.com #GiantCuttlefish #UnderwaterPhotography #MarineBiology #SydneyDiving #OceanConservation
