Pompierii voluntari și privați s au întrecut astăzi pentru un loc la faza interjudețeană

Today, June 11, the Municipal Sports Complex in Călărași has been transformed into a testing arena, hosting the county stage of the Professional Competitions of Voluntary and Private Services for Emergency Situations. The competition, organized annually, brings together teams of volunteer and private firefighters from Călărași County, having a technical-applicative and sporting character. Participants test their limits and demonstrate their level of training in tests that simulate real intervention conditions. The event is coordinated by the “Barbu Știrbei” Emergency Situations Inspectorate of Călărași County and benefits from the financial support of the Călărași County Council. To get a place on the podium, competitors must go through three tests: the 100-meter obstacle course, the 4x100-meter relay and the “Intervention Device” test. These are designed to assess reaction speed, physical endurance, coordination and teamwork, essential elements in rescue missions. Beyond the competitive component, the competition plays an important role in the training and evaluation of local emergency services. The main goal is to develop and improve the skills needed in real interventions, verify the level of training of the participating teams and promote the activity carried out by voluntary and private emergency services in local communities. The stakes of the competition are high. The team that will take first place at the end of the competition will represent Călărași County at the inter-county stage of the professional competitions, scheduled to take place in July, in Brăila County. There, the best-trained rescuers from Călărași will have the opportunity to measure their strength with elite teams from other counties, in a new challenge that will test the experience, discipline and team spirit of the participants.
